Tiffany Shepherd earned her Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education and English from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. She earned her Masters of Education, with emphasis in Urban and Diverse Learning, from Goucher College in Towson, Maryland and her California Teaching Credential in Library/Media Science from Sacramento State University in Sacramento, California. She also holds a certificate in Cross-Cultural Language and Academic Development.

Tiffany began her teaching career in Baltimore, Maryland before moving to Sacramento where she has been teaching College Prep ELA and Advanced Placement Language and Composition at Grant Union High School in Sacramento, CA for 14 years.

Tiffany is a Mentor Teacher for student teachers from University of California, Davis. She has served as English Department Chair, Secretary of the School Site Council, Director of Student Activities and was named Teacher of the Year at Grant Union High School.

Tiffany is also a Teacher consultant for the Area 3 Writing Project, providing professional development programs to improve writing instruction to teachers throughout the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valley.
