Daniel Buccieri has taught in the Los Angeles Unified School District since 2003. He currently teaches History courses at Grant High School in the Humanitas Magnet.  During the summer, Daniel directs the UCLA Writing Project’s Summer Institute for teachers across Los Angeles. Daniel also guides adults transitioning into the teaching career as an adjunct professor in the School of Education at National University. Daniel received his BA in History from UC Riverside and his M. Ed. from CSU Dominguez Hills. His personal writing has appeared in several literary journals and arts quarterlies. When interviewed, Daniel said “The greatest reward as a teacher is to hear the impact we have made on students, especially in the years beyond their time in our classroom. This award is validation like no other; it emphasizes the immortality of our teaching, as it continues to live on and on, in the lives of our former students.”
