Andrew King earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Pitzer College in Claremont, California. He earned his Masters in Education and his teaching credential from Claremont Graduate University and a second Masters Degree in American History from California Polytechnic State University in Pomona, California.

Andrew has been teaching US History at La Puente High School in La Puente, California for seven years. He is a course instructor at the Claremont Graduate University, preparing teacher education candidates for the California State Examination for Teachers of Social Science. He also serves as a Mentor Teacher, supervising teaching interns to promote and develop effective instructional skills. Andrew is also the Director of Student Activities teaching leadership and managing the Student Government.

Andrew has been honored as the Claremont Graduate University Teacher Alumnus of the Year, Los Angeles County Teacher of the Year, Hacienda La Puente Unified School District Teacher of the Year and La Puente High School Teacher of the Year.
