Rebecca Baugh earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology from Humboldt State University. She received her single subject credentials in both Biology and Chemistry and her Masters of Science Education and Constructivist Pedagogy with emphasis in diverse populations from National University in Torrey Pines, CA. Rebecca is a certified Advanced Placement teacher and teaches AP Biology and Chemistry at Eureka High School, in Eureka, California, where she has been teaching for 12 years .
Rebecca is a mentor teacher for beginning teachers (BTSA) at Eureka High School and is the Lead Teacher of the Constructing Meaning Site Team, responsible for providing professional development designed to incorporate academic language into everyday lessons and unit objectives. Rebecca is also a member of the Eureka City School Superintendent’s Advisory Committee, serves as Secretary of the School Site Council, and is a member of the Redwood Science Project Team, whose goal is to develop standards-based assessments and promote department collaboration.
